The swastika came back to Brooklyn yesterday — not in a history book, but carved into the side of a Tesla.
In the early hours of the morning, two suspects vandalized a Tesla Cybertruck parked on Monroe Street in BedStuy, Brooklyn. Using a sharp object, they etched a swastika and the word “NAZI” into the car’s doors.
The car belongs to a Jewish individual.
And thanks to the vehicle’s onboard Tesla security cameras, we now have clear footage of the suspects.
According to the NYPD, this is being investigated as a targeted hate crime — and it’s not the first time these suspects may have struck.
Earlier this month, a red swastika was spray-painted on a separate Cybertruck in the Lower East Side. Law enforcement now believes the two suspects could be tied to multiple hate-related incidents across the city.
"They might be doing it to make a statement... to write some hatred on there — it looks bad." — BedStuy resident to ABC7
The FBI has launched a domestic terrorism task force in response to a nationwide uptick in Tesla-related attacks, many involving harassment, vandalism, and even gunfire.
But in this case, the symbolism isn’t ambiguous. A swastika. The word “NAZI.” A Jewish-owned car. This wasn’t about Elon Musk. This was about Jews.

We are urgently working with community partners to identify the two individuals caught on camera.

We will protect the identity of anyone who comes forward.
Jew hatred thrives when we stay silent. Let’s make sure this time — it doesn’t.
